Keep the Momentum Going!

  • Progress posts. Celebrate important milestones with your participants and donors!
When you reach certain percentages of your fundraising goal, when you hit interesting recruitment numbers, or when you hit significant dollar amounts, make a post to celebrate!
  • Donor spotlights. Show your donors some love and inspire people to stay involved by highlighting people who have done a remarkable job raising money and awareness for your cause. You’ll want to have their permission before you post about them, of course.
  • Countdown posts. These are especially effective if you’re very close to your fundraising goal or nearing the day of the event.
Creating a sense of urgency is a tried-and-true fundraising strategy, and it applies to peer-to-peer fundraising!

Here are some examples from a Year End Campaign:

  • I am fundraising for Communities In Schools of Georgia so that my friends can take action with me as this important organization works tirelessly to reengage kids in their schoolwork. Will you give on Giving Day, MAY 6th to my online fundraising page to help kids get back to learning and reaching their dreams?
  • The events of the past year have been unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. A global pandemic and economic uncertainty have taken a toll on students of all ages, especially those who were already facing difficulties before 2020. That’s why I am fundraising for Communities In Schools. Will you make a gift to my personal fundraising page to help kids get back to learning and reaching their dreams?
  • Over the course of the past year, Communities In Schools’ caring adults have gone beyond schools, beyond their normal job duties, beyond anything they’ve ever done in the past—all in service of getting students beyond this challenging moment in time. Students have gone above and beyond as well, fighting tooth and nail to keep learning, to make it to the next grade, to graduate.
  • Your gift on Giving Day, MAY 6th to my online fundraising page will allow Communities In Schools staff to continue providing urgent needs, case management and academic support to underserved children—So mark your calendar and give by May 6th!
  • It’s time for us to take collective action to get students back on track. When we work together, we can move beyond the challenges of this past year and build a brighter, more hopeful future for students—and for all of us. Will you make a gift on Giving Day, May 6th, to my fundraiser for Communities In Schools of Georgia?
  • With support from friends like you, Communities In Schools can position students for success and empower students to get back to chasing any dreams that were put on pause during the pandemic. Will you make a gift on Giving Day, May 6th, to my fundraiser for Communities In Schools?
