In his own words: “My name is Nayvadius Barkley. I’m nine years old and I’m in the 3rd grade at Alice Coachman Elementary. This is my second year as a CIS student. My site coordinator is Coach Noel. My parents thought a male mentor in the school would really help me. I was missing a lot of school and was having issues paying attention in class. Coach Noel pushed me to be a better student and helped me pass the 2nd grade. This year I have been working on being consistent with my school attendance. I think Coach Noel is cool and he makes me better. I plan on playing basketball and football this year for the recreation league.”
